Duck season is open. Save your birds for a board before they go in the freezer. How to send a bird
Feather & Frame Taxidermy

How to

Everything you need to send me a bird.

How to save the bird after the shot, pack it, fill out the tag, and get it to me in shape for a feather mount. Ducks, turkeys, and upland birds, from anywhere in the country.

  1. Book your slot

Message me with the bird and the board you want. We settle the layout, a deposit holds your build slot, and I send you the shipping address.

  2. Save the bird right

Wipe off blood with cold water, let it cool, put a paper towel in the beak, double bag it with the air squeezed out, and freeze it solid.

  3. Fill out the bird tag

Print the bird tag, fill it out, sign it, and put it in the box. Federal law requires a signed tag on any duck or goose left with a taxidermist.

  4. Ship it Monday or Tuesday

Styrofoam cooler inside a box, UPS or FedEx overnight, early in the week. Text or email me the tracking number.
