Jake Davidson is a hunter and woodworker from Billings, Montana. He built Feather & Frame in 2026 because he wanted a way to display his birds that didn't look like a hunting lodge exploded in his living room. He couldn't find anyone doing it the way he had in mind, so he started doing it himself.
Every frame is cut and assembled by hand in walnut, cherry, or cedar. The feathers are laid around their natural symmetry and color, then set. Jake builds each piece start to finish himself. No production line, no outsourced parts, no shortcuts.
Jake takes on a limited number of commissions at a time. Every piece gets his full attention. If you want something built right and built to last, this is how it gets done.
